Roanoke College has named Laura Hamilton and Katherine Suehs as winners of the 2008 Henry H. Fowler Student Public Policy Paper Competition.

This week, Roanoke College mailed out nearly 650 copies of the award-winning memoir, "The Glass Castle," to incoming freshman and transfer students, who will read it before arriving on campus in August.

Roanoke Professor is Co-Investigator on Major Research Grant
Dr. Christopher Lassiter, assistant professor of biology at Roanoke, recently was awarded a grant from the Virginia Commonwealth Health Research Board (CHRB). The two-year research grant of $263,000 begins July 1 and is shared with four investigators at Virginia Military Institute.
Roanoke hosts annual education institute
The Margaret Sue Copenhaver Institute for Teaching and Learning (MSCI) will hold its ninth annual three-day residential institute for teachers at Roanoke College on June 23-25. The institute offers a professional development opportunity for K-12 teachers and administrators from this region.
